Haelkop, Jonkershoek (1384m)
As a photographer who do mostly weddings, I believe the Peartree style of photography captures the beauty of people as they are in their natural environments. This is why the Peartree Blog features more than just weddings. You will find me and my family – so you can learn more about the person behind the camera. You will find natural environments – so you can learn Who and what inspires my style of photography. You might find good black coffee – because I love good black coffee! And like today, you will find people in mountains – so you can see where my passion matures my style.
Helmut Meijer (a brilliant music producer & one of the best men at my wedding) shares the same love, passion and Source of inspiration. We took one of the beautiful winter days off this week to scale Haelkop. I see it daily from my home when I sit out on my stoep to take a break from the stacks of admin or hours of editing. This peak has been alluring me for more than 5 years. What a joy the experience was! Photo courtesy of Helmut (hey man, if my music skills could just have been as good as your photography!).
Tomorrow is wedding time again – I feel inspired! Time for a black coffee …
