Monthly Archives: March 2010 The statistics show Tulbagh always to be dry at the end of March till mid April. That is why you choose this date out of all the others for your one and only wedding! So the rain took us all by surprise as it poured down in true Western Cape winter rain style when we arrived for the start of the shoot. We looked at each other, prayed and embraced the moment.  Excited people in a funky setting; a 1787 stone timber shed built by the groom’s forefather; a wild & wet boat ride to a deserted island; a race against the sun to a National Reserve; and a party till the next morning … who said a wedding photographer has a mundane job?  Markus & Celeste specifically asked us for a good balance between nature and funky shots. We prepared well and they seemed to have loved every moment of the photo session. This is the uniquely fresh photos we came up with. Enjoy.  I sometimes have a quick unofficial pre-shoot / practice round taking photographs of a couple at their friend’s weddings. Specially when I know that they are officailly booked for a Peartree wedding soon.
