High Flying

The morning was crisp and clear – a perfect day for flying and for starting a busy week.  Here is a quick look at some Aerial Photographs of Stellenbosch, Jonkershoek and the Winelands that my commercial client allows me to show from this morning’s  flight.

We had the privilege to spend about 30 minutes in the air and was again stunned at the beauty of this area and the surrounding mountains.  I knew the flight would be today (Monday), so I ran up passed Botmaskop to Botmasnek on Friday afternoon to get an idea on what to expect and look for if we managed to pass by this area.  Our great pilot, Martin from Cape to Karoo Flyventures, was kind enough to enter Jonkershoek and I managed to get a stunning shot of Simonsberg and the Jonkershoek valley on the way out.  Thanks Martin – loved seeing it from above!   Lastly, I thought about naming this post ” p.AIR.tree “, but although it sounds the same, something about it just didn’t look right!  hehe!  Enjoy.
