Plett River Lodge, Plettenberg Bay Wedding Photography | 12 March 2011
Wow, where do I start with this one?! Angie & I got to know each other through social media & emails in the 14 months building up to her wedding. I still remember her emails back in Jan 2010 when she begged us to do her wedding in Plett in 2011! I didn’t take much begging – I love photographing weddings in Plettenberg Bay! Of course, at that time I didn’t know that our due date for wee Joah Punt would be so very close to their wedding date. It was quite a adrenaline rush to be away from home and Adri for the whole weekend, but all things worked out amazingly well at the end. Matt & Angie got their pictures, we love them (and the pics 🙂 and Joah is still inside Adri’s tummy! (Keep watching the blog for a baby update hopefully soon! Come on Joah!)
We can never be the judge of our work, but we this must be some of the best wedding photography we have done in Plettenberg Bay to date! One things is for sure, that no other client’s photos will even remotely resemble what we have captured with these two lovely people on Saturday. The couple was amazing, the conditions perfect, the venue dreamy and our timing spot on! We love these shots and feel so privileged to have had the privileged to be part of this. We have tried to give you a taste of the ocean, to feel the sand between your toes, to experience the Ecosse-like valleys of the area, show off the skills of our surfer dude and even a bit of the excitement when the Proteas won the cricket (I had to somehow justify my presence in the back room with a TV & some of the guys hiding away during the reception!).
I am so glad everything worked out well! Enjoy this celebration summary of your day below.
Thank you to assistant and travel companion Anél de Stadler, for taking on the long road with me over the weekend and delivering stunning results.
