I did the couple’s wedding in the beautiful gateway to the Himalayas town of Manali in Himachal Paradesh Province, India on 20 June 2009. It…  I am safely home after my visit to India. Nothing beats my family! The Taj Mahal proved to be a great site for photography and two obstacles. After being stopped by soldiers for having the nerve to bring in a flash cable into the heritage area (I suppose they thought I wanted to use it…  I’ve been having a great time off after the wedding. For once I am not missioning everywhere and just do whatever the day brings me. Yesterday has been an amazing adventure though. I took a vehicle up to Rohtang Pass, arguably the second highest road in the world at 3978m. At a point we got…  What an amazing 3 days of colours, culture, cheilidh and curries! Thursday night was Mehendi Ki Raat where the guests come together at the bride’s parents house to celebrate the application of Henna to the bride’s hands and feet. Many of the other women sat with her on the ground in the same room and…  Before I publish the wedding, I thought I’ll have to show you what I encounter everyday on my way to town. Safely here after starting my travels at 0400 on Sunday morning. Everything went well. Delhi is the overcrowded oven I expected, but I enjoyed the sites, people and rickshaws. Manali is more than expected though. The bustling town nestled between snowy mountains in a too soon soaking wet Monsoon afternoon here caught me by surprise…  Although every wedding is special, you will understand why a wedding in the Indian Himalayas feels like a dream come true.
