As every couple is unique, we believe their photos have to reflect who they are.  The fact also that they get married at the same venue as others, doesn’t mean their photos have to look the same.  At Peartree Photography we try our best to give each couple a shoot as unique as they are.  I believe we succeeded in doing this again on Saturday …

Peter and Betty impressed all in every sense of the word.  All the way from the vail she wore that is more than 200 years old, to the series of fun shots during the couple shoot (which I personally love!).   They are a couple who knows what they want and go out to get it.  Izandi from I Do did a awesome job to put all this together at a ever stunning Kleinevalleij.

These two really reminded me of a prince and princes as they walked hand in hand on this staggering Boland afternoon.  The fresh autumn air complimented their unique start together.  So did the celebration at this ever awesome venue.  I love my job because of days like this.  Thank you D&L for trusting us with this.

When I was a student, I used to drive halfway up Bainskloof to run to the top of the pass and back.  I would time it just right so that I could reach my lookout point at the top in time for sunset.  I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding couple way up there … away from it all and as free as one can be …

I met Fred for the first time the week before Natassja and his wedding.   When he mentioned he would love to have photos on a mountain, I jumped with excitement and offered him my ideas.  We were all very amped about their shoot on their big day and  Natassja’s 26th Birthday!  The families also celebrated – see their unique fam shots!

How blessed they were with an absolutely gorgeous autumn day and stunning sunset.  May your lives continue to be filled with meeting people who share your dreams and making it happen.

All couples are excited to get married.  But I must admit I haven’t seen a bride quite as excited to get married in a while!  Celeste booked one of my favourite dressing venues, Cascade Manor, based on the photos we took of Juan & Nita at this venue back in December 2008.  Good choice!

Markus & Celeste specifically asked us for a good balance between nature and funky shots.   We prepared well and they seemed to have loved  every moment of the photo session.  This is the uniquely fresh photos we came up with.  Enjoy.

When I opened the paper on Sunday, I wasn’t surprised to see that the HEATWAVE  made the headlines.   Jacques & Diana’s wedding featured two of the three hottest towns in South Africa on Saturday.  The ceremony was in Paarl at 45C and the reception in Wellington at 46C.  I think you will forgive me when I say we must have the hottest couple & wedding pictures of the weekend!!

The couple did exceptionally well in these circumstances (yes, they are used to these numbers … just on the minus side in Canada where they now reside).   They managed to pull off a day with great style, exceptional detail, beautiful people and lots of laughter.  I hope these pictures managed to capture some of this for those who unfortunately couldn’t make their special day.

I must admit I really didn’t recognise Melanie when I entered the room where she prepared.  As a winemaker who loves walking barefoot with shorts, this was a different Melanie … this was a transformation!  Both she and Ossie were a wee bit nervous before the wedding, but they soon managed to relax and enjoy the moments and each other to the full.  Add a beautiful evening to this combination and it made our job so much easier.  Dankie julle – geniet mekaar!
