Since I have shot my first wedding at Cascade Country Manor, I have totally loved this venue.  (My grandparents used to farm close by, so I love shooting in this area knowing my previous generations have walked the earth here too).  Saturday was no exception.  The venue impressed and it was another lovely couple.  They combined their day with having the reception at the new Nantes Estate – another great & stylish choice.  Regardt & Antonette themselves didn’t disappoint after their unique pre-wedding shoot.  There were a lot of stunning, adventurous and equally funny moments to capture.  They have a tremendous sense of humour!  I am 100% sure you will enjoy the following summary of their big day.

R&A – bly so vars in julle liefde vir mekaar.  Dit stof ou harte af en blom van oor tot oor.  Dit was heerlik om deel te wees van julle fees.  En ek is baie bly my vliegtuig vanaf die Seychelles was betyds sodat ek dit darem kon maak!  Wie’t getwyfel?!  hehe!

I have had so many requests for more photos from this Paarl wedding at Palmiet Valley Estate, that I just couldn’t keep it back much longer.

Lucas & Winonah - erg bedankt voor een ongelooflijk mooie dag samen met jullie hier in Afrika. Ik hebzomaar mijn jaar op een hoogtepunt afgesloten door u af te nemen. Ik zie uit naar jullie gauw weer te zienbij jullie vrienden van de bruiloften in Nederland:) (En ik hoop Google Translate heeft dit recht vertaaldvoor mij!). Succes voor jullie toekomst!

I was almost just as excited as the couple about the day finally arriving.  I have known about this wedding for 2 years.  And how awesome the day was.  How rewarding the wait has proven.  My words are few again; the images can do the talking …

Duncan is a hero / primary school teacher who loves what he does (plus surfing & John Deere tractors … and Anné of course!).  Anné probably loves loads of things, but the 3 that stand out when you meet her is Duncan, her family and photography.  She actually formally studied photography and it was her wish for all her friends to join in the photographic pleasures of her wedding.  Who can blame her – I would have done the same if my best friends were legends in the industry.   There will be thousands of pictures representing their big day – this here is just my attempt of what I witnessed on the day focussing on their passions.

Duncan & Anné – I feel immensely privileged to have been part of your wedding in such an official way.   You are an awesome couple and lovely witness to many.  May God bless your marriage with many more children under your soaring wings.

Robert and Natalie had a Kingly Wedding right in the heart of the Boland.  This has been a truly magical experience for all.

I was taken back by the preparation Malcolm Klûk and Christian Grabriel Du Toit put into the care of their designs and happily slotted into their schedule and recommendations on the day.  The extra time allowed for strong portraitures of all in the historic Laborie Manor House – some featured below.  Earlier in the day Rob accompanied us on vista trip around the magnificent Backsberg to pick the perfect spot for their couple shoot.  It was a great time to get to know this legend of a man.  Both he and Natalie put their faith out for a perfect sunny day – and what a spectacular day we got!  As the bagpipes played in the background and Natalie gracefully made her way down the isle, the tangibility of the grace that surrounds these two, was felt by all.  Awesome moment!

The rest I can try and picture with words, but I’m sure the pictures itself will do a much better job.  All I can say is – wow!  May His blessing continue to prepare the way for the two of you in the future.
