Gert & Cecile decided not to have an official photographer on the day of their wedding at Lanzerac.   I only met them at this awesome venue 3 weeks after for the following joyous shoot.  I hope and am sure you will be satisfied with these early morning shots.   Blessings to the two of you!

Richard and Jeanne have travelled and worked all over the world.  There experiences brought some fun & refreshing elements to their wedding at Vrede en Lust..  Look out for the French flag bridesmaids’ dresses; the guys’ funky socks; old English vows that makes a French lady  stumble; sporums, sgian dubh and Gordon tartan; old classics; perfect light; love that stood the test of a lifetime; modern Indian dancing and more.  And the of course, hidden away, is Richard’s dad and the young blond!  Very funny!

Thanks guys for a year of planning, an amazing day and an absolute pleasure getting to know the two of you with your friends and family.  Keep in touch for the future and all the best for your married life together.

The free falling rain provided the warm intimacy for these photos that I feel captured the awesome couple and the Molenvliet venue perfectly.  I would not have wanted to capture this in any other way .  The fun, emotions, joy and style made this a wedding close to everyone’s hearts.  May you treasure these photos just as your marriage and have fun always!

I don’t have too much to boast about.  One thing that comes to mind though is that I have had the amazing privilege to spent one night in Harold Spies’s bed!  No, he wasn’t married!  And no, he wasn’t there! (thank goodness!).  It goes way back to when he was still living in the UK and I came to visit them in London.  He was away on one of his many trips and I crashed on his bed for one night.  Luckily that’s all to it!  But I thought it makes for a good intro to this shoot

We spent an hour in the lovely Jonkershoek valley to capture these memories before the new Spiesie arrives.  I love it!  Hope they do too!

It’s funny how one end up photographing different people.  The lovely Pretorius fam heard about Peartree when they sold their house in Sasolburg to a couple I have photographed.  They came down to Cape Town for a holiday soon after and booked the family shoot with me.  I was astound at the confidence of these guys and LOVED working with them.  All the best and blessings to your lovely family.

Meet the super duper awesome Nattrass family.  They have so much energy, love and passion for people and life, you just can not help to smile when you are with them.  Brett is an awesome person, photographer, athlete and dad.  Ronel is a brilliant fitness guru, professional athlete and role model mom.  Benjamin – you are a lucky laaitie to have them as your parents.  And you are very cute!

I am so thankful we had the opportunity to have this shoot.  Continue to treasure life and each other.  I love you guys!

I’ve known Jan and Martie through Athletics for years now.  We traveled on the same teams in 1994 and 1995 – the good old days when we all had a bit more speed and lived for running!  They asked me to do a shoot with them before they plan to leave the country for a few years.  I love this shoot – specially with the kids running!

You guys have beautiful kids!  May yours and ours run together one day and experience the joy of meeting people with the same passions as we did.  All the best for the future!  Keep in touch!

Bianca’s parents couldn’t decide what to give to their special daughter for Christmas.  Her mum then had the great idea to contact her brother’s wedding photographer to buy a Peartree Gift Voucher.  She was over the moon with the gift!  Good choice mum!  I hope your whole family (and Marco – the committed boyfriend) will love these!

There is just something special about Blaauwklippen Estate.  This is probably why Ozzie Dave and x-ZAn Jo chose this complete option for their special day.  And good thing too – it actually rained in February in Stellenbosch (!) and the ceremony had to be moved inside the spectacular Manor House.  This gave the visitors from down under a real South African experience.  All worked out great.

Dave and Jo – here’s your memories for the time being (including the mountains, vineyards and trees you have ordered!).  May others experience the warmth of the two of you together on this rainy Boland day.  Blessings.
