This is such a beautiful place! The Somerset Gift Getaway Farm is tucked behind the Buffeljags Dam just outside of Swellendam. When I arrived, there was no trace of rain. The warm sun shone down on the open meadows and tree-lined river. Absolutely beautiful! It soon changed though …
As people started to make their way to the heart-shaped ceremony area, the dark clouds also started to roll in. The more the wind blew, the quicker the dominee’s 3-point sermon became and the faster he spoke. Mouton and Claudia had their first kiss as the first big drops started pounding down. We all made it back under cover just in time.
Mouton and Claudia had an amazing day with their fun family and friends. The rain added to the cosiness of them as a couple and caused everyone to spend time together in close proximity. There were loads of laughter, fun banter and wild dancing till late in the night. An absolute jol!
