Getting Married in Tanzania
Africa is proud, rich in tradition and marches on without following. It’s the continent with the most beautiful people, places and prospects for growth. She is the one to watch, ready to take centre stage. She is the bride …
What a privilege it was to capture this prestigious wedding celebration in East Africa. It felt like the whole of Dar es Salaam came to standstill to witness the union of Hans and Ikumbo. What a dynamic couple! What an unforgettable celebration!
The ceremony was held at the most beautiful historic, inner-city Azania Front Lutheran Church and the reception at the prestigious The Kilimanjaro Hyatt 5-star hotel. With a high profile guest list of I guess 400+, everyone was in for an epic day in this coastal city that I love so much. The most modern facilities mixed with traditions of old (like the cutting of the goat – see below!) made this an absolute pleasure to capture despite the tropical heat, constant gear moving & set up workouts and running between venues.
Hans & Ikumbo – thank you for allowing me to travel for this historic day that I will never forget. And thank you again to Hendri for the recommendation. Hopefully, I’ll be back in my beloved East Africa soon again to capture more of her beautiful people and places. Enjoy!
