Greek South African Wedding Vrede & Lust
It has been quite an African Wedding weekend for me. On Friday I photographed a lovely Zimbabwean couple. A few hours later I was back under the scorching African sun to capture another unique and beautiful African combination.
I had to be on my toes as this was not just another wedding (although non is really). Apart from Natalie’s impressive Greek-Italian-English-Danish mix and having grown up in Tanzania, I faced a hugely respected & amazingly well rounded professional photographer in Hendri Lombard. These two met in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania where they both work and make a living.
This was a perfectly hot Autumn day filled with real joy and loads of creativity. The sun made us work really hard but finished the day with a soft and warm light that made it all worth while. The bridal party shots worked out really well – do yourself a favour and go look at some of these. I love it! The couple shoot was a beauty. Natalie’s dad’s traditional Greek dance started off the festive evening and I am sure it continued to early the next morning.
Thank you Hendri & Natalie from choosing me for and trusting me on your long awaited day. It was an honour and real privilege. I hope these shots will make you happy and meet your criteria. I gave it my all and so did you. Thanks again and may our paths cross again in Africa very soon. Enjoy.
