Hindu Wedding Stellenbosch
One does get to know quite a few of the guests when you spend 16 hours in each other’s company between the Molenvliet vineyards over one weekend. That’s the beauty of such a Hindu wedding.
The Mehndi and Saanji started off with the Henna ceremonies on Friday. Anna’s hands and feet got transformed into a beautiful artwork by two very skilled ladies. The rest of the ladies joined in while the men enjoyed each other’s company and the welcome treats offered by Two Chefs. Amazing vegetarian food was also served to all during the Saanji. The highlight of the evening, though, was the dances performed by friends and family. Diptesh and Anna lead the last dance with a bunch of energetic friends and really lifted everyone’s spirits. The stage was set for a big party – just what superb DJ Brendon from Music2theMax needed. The Bollywood upbeat tempo followed me as I left the vineyards to go rest for the big ceremony day on Saturday.
It was a perfect sunny day. After getting the preparation photos of both Diptesh and Anna, we all moved over to the Mundhap where an extensive ceremony, rich in rituals, took place. Finally, they were married and we could get on with capturing the two of them in their evening attire. It was a long 2 days up to there. We pushed through though and made it worth our while. I love what we got with the amazing mountains as a backdrop. Really a special few moments captured here.
The evening was filled with lovely food & inspiring speeches. Then party celebration followed – one people will not forget! Thank you to everyone for such an amazing time with you all. It was rad!
Lastly, a big shout out to amazeballs Jade and her team from Jade’s Customised Events. Absolutely my preferred coordinator to work with. Another job well doneth!
Enjoy!
