I think it is fine to say that I have had my fair share of weddings over the past 14 years. I have seen a good number of amazing weddings and have met some awesome people from all over the globe. Apart from it being an immense privilege to have had these experiences, I think I have the right to make a few bold statements in regards to weddings. Maybe it is just because it’s so fresh in my mind; maybe it was this crowd of people; maybe I am just still tired after all the photos in the immense heat. I must take this opportunity though to say that there is no celebration as lively and joyous as that of a traditional Jewish wedding!
It is one big party from start to finish. There is continues singing, dancing, screaming, laughter, hugs, food, wine, singing, dancing … man- these guys know how to celebrate! Giving the whole day a Mexican theme contributed to the energetic vibe!
The venue was the Inner City Ideas Cartel in the heart of Cape Town. After the numerous ceremonies, Ohad and Ricci were married and the celebration just continued. It was so mad. It was so lovely.
I love the shots of the guys prior to the ceremony. Ohad & Ricci’s dog played his part and even attended the ceremony. The girls got ready at the presidential suit of the Queen Victoria Hotel. Sho, what a place. Well done to everyone involved to get Ricci ready in time and for Robin Roberts for the amazing dress. I used the space, lines and light to create something that I hope Ricci will be proud of. I think it came out great!
Thank you O&R for an unforgettable day with you and your 200 guests in Cape Town’s CBD. It is one that I will not easily forget. MAZEL TOV!!
