There was a wedding in the little Karoo town of Prince Albert this weekend. It was as special as the story of the two who walked away to return many years later for us to stand witness to the beauty of faith, hope and love.
Johan and Carla chose Abrahamskraal for their celebrations. It is a plaas about 35km towards Leeu Gamka from Prince Albert and comes highly recommended. Even though I spent most of the day with them, their entrance in a Ford Model T with red & white balloons, looked absolutely surreal in this Karoo landscape. What a great touch of class to start the evening off. The rest didn’t disappoint with great speeches, a duet done by them under the shining sky and followed by lekker boerekos and wine.
I think I fell in love with the platteland all over again this weekend. I deliberately took as many back roads as I could to get to the wedding from Stellenbosch and was astounded at the beauty of my country. What a place we live in!
Thank Johan & Carla for this great opportunity. You guys made this day and shoot extra special. You were fun, honest and a pure delight. Much blessings to you on your road ahead.
