Great was her excitement when Willemien contacted me to say we could move their engagement shoot to an earlier slot. When any professional athlete picks up an injury, it is set back for the individual and their team mates. In this case, it was a massive blow for our country. No one is happy about it. When you are that athlete’s girlfriend however, you can’t blame her to smile a bit more than others. She gets to have a chance to see him a wee bit more often.
Sharks Rugby player Pieter-Steph du Toit and Willemien met me on a sunny autumn afternoon for a shoot as a built up to their wedding later this year. Looking at these, I can’t wait to photograph them again.
